This trip felt unreal the whole entire time. I still can’t believe I was able to do it in such an uncertain times. Today I’m going to start to share everything with you.
It was 10 days and this post is only about day one. So you can expect a lot more posts about this trip.

Esta viagem foi inacreditável o tempo inteiro. Ainda não acredito que a consegui fazer em tempos tão incertos. Hoje vou começar a partilhar tudo com vocês.
Foram 10 dias e este post é apenas sobre o primeiro dia. Podem esperar imensos posts sobre esta viagem.
Our first stop was Athens. We arrived in Greece around noon, and as soon as we arrived we got tested for COVID-19. We were good to start our vacayy.
We only had less than 24h in Athens, so we made sure to enjoy every second of it.
Our Airbnb had an amazing view over the city, so of course the first thing I did was to take some snaps of it.
A nossa primeira paragem foi Atenas. Chegámos à Grécia por volta do meio dia, e assim que chegámos fomos testados para o COVID-19. Estamos bem para começar as nossas férias.
Tinhámos menos de 24h em Atenas, então tínhamos de aproveitar cada segundo disso.
O nosso airbnb tinha uma vista linda sobre a cidade, e claro que a primeira coisa que eu fiz foi tirar uns snaps disso.
I was shocked on our way to the Airbnb… I’ve been in a lot of cities but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a city like Athens. It feels like you’re in another world. All you see is poverty, in the houses, people, etc. You can actually tell how affected Greece was by the economic recession.
Our next stop was food. We stopped by a really cute restaurant in the streets and I got myself a greek salad, because when in Greece…
Eu fiquei chocada na nossa ida para o Airbnb… já estive em muitas cidades, mas acho que nunca vi nenhuma como Atenas. Parece que estamos noutro mundo. Tudo o que veem é pobreza, nas casas, nas pessoas, etc. Conseguem perceber o quanto a Grécia foi afetada pela recessão económica.
A nossa próxima paragem foi comida. Paramos num restaurante super giro nas ruas e eu pedi uma salada grega, porque quando na Grécia…
This couldn’t be the most perfect time to visit it. No lines, it wasn’t crowded at all, you could take pictures without having too many people in the background. It was great!
Paragem obrigatória nas lojistas para comprar presentes e começamos a nossa aventura ate à Acropolis. Esta era a única coisa que queríamos mesmo ver em Atenas, e para ser sincera não tinhámos tempo para ver mais nada.
Acropolis é linda, e a vista de lá para a cidade é completamente maravilhosa!
Esta não podia ser uma melhor altura para visitar. Sem filas, sem muitas pessoas, podem tirar fotos sem ter muita gente por trás. Foi ótimo!
After it, we spent some time walking around the city and it was dinner time. I honestly forgot how amazing food is in Europe!
We got lost on our way to the Airbnb and we found the cutest street in the city. Little Kook street, if I’m not mistaken where the theme was Mary Poppins. It was such a cute street. Unfortunately, I only have videos on my phone of it, but if you visit Athens you definitely need to check this street.
It was time to pack everything again, get some rest - which I definitely didn’t get any in this whole trip. And start to get ready for our next stop.
Depois disso, passamos algum tempo a andar na cidade e já era hora de jantar. Sinceramente já me tinha esquecido do quanto a comida é maravilhosa na Europa!
Perdemo-nos no nosso regresso para o Airbnb e encontramos a rua mais bonita da cidade. Little Kook, se não estou em erro, onde o tema era a Mary Poppins. A rua era tão gira. Infelizmente só tenho videos no meu telefone dela, mas se visitarem Atenas têm mesmo de ver esta rua.
E altura de fazer as malas outra vez, descansar um pouco - o que eu não fiz de todo durante esta viagem inteira. E começar a preparar para a nossa próxima paragem.
Athens was okay. I think from all the places I’ve been, it was the one I didn’t really enjoy it. It’s nice but not beautiful, the streets are sketchy and also the people.
You have a lot of people trying to scam you, and you really need to be careful.
Also, there are a lot of stray cats in the streets. I was so impressed by this. Never in my whole life I’ve seen so many cats.
This was only the first stop of this dream trip of mine. I really hope you liked this post. :)
Atenas foi okay. Acho que de todos os sítios onde eu já estive, este foi o único em que não gostei muito. É giro, mas não lindo, as ruas são duvidosas e as pessoas também.
Existem várias pessoas a tentar enganar-vos, e tem de ter cuidado.
E também, existem vários gatos abandonados nas ruas. Eu fiquei tão impressionada com isto. Acho que nunca em toda a minha vida vi tantos gatos.
Esta foi apenas a primeira paragem da minha viagem de sonho. Espero muito que tenham gostado deste post. :)
