The Netflix season is here! It’s getting colder outside, it’s perfect to stay inside and just be all cozy by the fireplace or with some candles binge watching tv shows or movies.
Also, with the second wave of the virus and with a lot of countries getting into lockdown again, what else can you do to not get bored at home, right?
There are so many good movies and tv shows out there, and today I’m sharing my favorites for this season.
I have to be honest, my taste for movies is very weird. I absolutely hate romantic and most comedy movies.
I absolutely love horror movies (most of them are just stupid and funny, so it’s my comedy type haha. I told you I’m weird!), sci fi and thrillers. If you like this post, I can do another one with my favorite horror movies and my favorite tv shows.

A época da Netflix está aqui! Está a ficar frio lá fora e é perfeito para ficar em casa, enrolada nas mantas ao pé da lareira ou com algumas velas e consumir séries ou filmes.
E também, com a segunda onda do virus e com muitos países a entrarem em confinamento outra vez, o que mais podemos fazer para não ficarmos aborrecidos em casa, certo?
Existem tantos filmes e séries para ver, e hoje vou partilhar com vocês os meus preferidos para esta estação.
Tenho de ser sincera, o meu gosto para filmes é muito estranho. Eu odeio filmes românticos e a maior parte dos filmes de comédia.
Adoro por completo filmes de terror (a maior parte deles são só estúpidos e engraçados, então é o meu tipo de comédia. Eu disse-vos que era estranha!) sci fi e thrillers. Se gostarem deste post, posso fazer outro com os meus filmes de terror preferidos e as minhas séries preferidas.

What happened to Monday or Seven Sisters
“In a world where families are allowed only one child due to overpopulation, resourceful identical septuplets must avoid governmental execution and dangerous infighting while investigating the disappearance of one of their own.”
I’ve watched this movie a few years back and it’s so good. It’s one of those movies that makes you pay attention to all the little details. Also, you won’t expect how this movie ends and that’s what I love about it. The ending is so unexpected.
The main actress is Noomi Rapace, she’s one of my favorite actresses.
Harry Potter Marathon
I don’t know about you, but when it starts to get colder outside it only means one thing - do a Harry Potter marathon. It’s like a tradition.
I’ve never mentioned this here before but I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter. I read all the books when I was younger, I grew up watching the movies and living for it. I’m pretty sure everyone has watched at least one movie, if you don’t… what are you waiting for??
Ready or Not
“Grace couldn't be happier after she marries the man of her dreams at his family's luxurious estate. There's just one catch - she must now hide from midnight until dawn while her new in-laws hunt her down with guns, crossbows and other weapons. As Grace desperately tries to survive the night, she soon finds a way to turn the tables on her not-so-lovable relatives.”
This movie is categorized as a horror/ thriller, and to be honest for me it’s just a funny movie. Well, if you’re sensitive to blood, you won’t like it. But it’s a really funny movie, and again… the ending is very unexpected. The final scene is one of my favorites, you have to go and watch it but it represents 2020 at its best, without giving you any spoilers.
O que aconteceu com a Segunda Feira ou as Sete Irmãs
“Num mundo onde só é permitido uma criança por família devido à sobre população, sete irmãs idênticas tem de evitar ser executadas pelo governo enquanto investigam o desaparecimento de uma delas.”
Eu já vi este filme há alguns anos e é tão bom. É um daqueles filmes que vos faz prestar atenção a todos os pequenos detalhes. E também, não vão estar à espera de como o filme acaba e é o que eu mais gosto dele.
A atriz principal é a Noomi Rapace, ela é das minhas atrizes preferidas.
Maratona de Harry Potter
Não sei quanto a vocês, mas quando começa a ficar frio lá fora, só significa uma coisa: fazer uma maratona de Harry Potter. É uma tradição.
Nunca mencionei isto aqui antes, mas eu sou uma grande fã de Harry Potter. Li todos os livros quando era mais nova, cresci a ver os filmes e a viver para isso. Tenho quase a certeza que já toda a gente viu pelo menos um filme, senão viram… do que estão à espera??
Ready or Not - O Ritual
“A Grace não podia estar mais feliz depois de casar com o homem dos seus sonhos, na casa luxuosa da família dele. Existe apenas uma coisa: ela deve esconder-se desde a meia noite, até ao nascer do sol enquanto a sua nova família a tenta caçar com armas, bestas e outras armas. Enquanto a Grace tenta desesperadamente sobreviver à noite, ela descobre uma maneira de virar o jogo aos seus não tão adoráveis parentes.”
Este filme é categorizado com terror/ thriller, mas para ser sincera, para mim é só engraçado. Bem, se vocês forem sensíveis a sangue, não vão gostar. Mas é um filme super engraçado, e mais uma vez… o final é bastante inesperado. A cena final é uma das minhas preferidas, tem de ver… representa 2020 no seu melhor, sem vos dar nenhum spoiler.
The Huntsman: Winter's War
“Warriors Eric and Sara fight to survive the wrath of Queen Freya, an evil sorceress, and her sister, Ravenna, while trying to conceal their feelings for each other.”
You should also watch Snow White and The Huntsman which is the first movie, but I loved the winter war the most.
Movies always get me when they have some cold hearted bad bitch in there, and Ravenna is one of my favorite characters ever! (I love to give spoilers, so can you imagine how hard it is for me right now to not tell you the whole movie?)
Maleficent
“Maleficent is a kind-hearted fairy, who is deceived by the love of her life, Stefan. Soon, she places a curse on his daughter, Aurora, in order to exact revenge.”
I’m not a fan of Disney movies, but this one is my favorite. I absolutely love the story and the powerful message of this movie. It’s so beautiful, and a little bit different from what we are used to, from Disney movies. Maleficent shows us a different kind of true love.
There is also a second movie which came out last year but it isn’t the same. I didn’t like it as much as this one.
This movie has so many powerful messages and quotes that I love so much but one of my favorites is “never let your wings be stolen from you.”
O Caçador: A Guerra de Inverno
“Os caçadores Eric e Sara lutam para sobreviver à fúria da Rainha Freya, uma feiticeira má e à sua irmã, Ravenna, enquanto tentam esconder os sentimentos um pelo outro.”
Também podem ver a Branca de Neve e o Caçador que é o primeiro filme, mas eu gostei mais do da Guerra de Inverno.
Gosto sempre quando os filmes tem alguma cabra fria sem coração neles, e a Ravenna é das minhas personagens preferidas de sempre! (eu adoro dar spoilers, podem imaginar o quanto está a ser difícil para mim não vos contar o filme inteiro?)
Maléfica
“A Maléfica é uma fada com um coração bondoso, que é desapontada pelo amor da sua vida, Stefan. Mas depressa, ela lança uma maldição à sua filha, Aurora, para se vingar.”
Eu não sou fã dos filmes da Disney, mas este é o meu preferido. Adoro a história e a mensagem poderosa deste filme. É tão linda, e um bocadinho diferente do que estamos habituados dos filmes da Disney. Maléfica mostra-nos um diferente tipo de amor verdadeiro.
Existe também o segundo filme que saiu o ano passado, mas não é a mesma coisa. Não gostei tanto como deste.
Este filme tem imensas mensagens fortes e frases que eu adoro, mas a minha preferida é “nunca deixes as tuas asas serem roubadas de ti.”
