A few days after I came back from New York, I went to Portugal for a week.
This trip to Portugal was so random and it was completely planned last minute but it was one of the best trips ever.
I left Portugal eight months ago, and for the last six years I don’t remember being away from the country for this long. It was so nice to be back but I have to be honest with you, after three days there, I already wanted to come back. Don’t get me wrong. I love my country and my people, but I just don’t fit there anymore.
We landed in Lisbon around lunch time and spent the whole afternoon in Lisbon, around Parque das Nações which it’s my favorite place there.
On the second day, we spent the whole day at the beach in Peniche. I’m not a beach person at all, and I don’t even remember the last time I went to the beach. But being there with my friends made me like it again. We had so much fun! (always with a drink in our hands tho)

Uns dias depois de voltar de Nova Iorque, fui a Portugal durante uma semana.
Esta viagem a Portugal foi inesperada e completamente planeada no último minuto, mas foi uma das melhores viagens de sempre.
Eu deixei Portugal há oito meses, e nos últimos seis anos não me lembro de estar tanto tempo fora do país. Foi ótimo voltar mas tenho de ser honesta com vocês, depois de estar lá três dias, já queria voltar. Não me interpretem mal, eu adoro o meu país e a minha gente, mas simplesmente já não me “encaixo” lá.
Aterrámos em Lisboa por volta da hora de almoço, e passámos o resto da tarde em Lisboa, no Parque das Nações que é dos meus sítios preferidos.
No segundo dia, passámos o dia inteiro na praia em Peniche. Eu não sou uma pessoa que gosta muito de praia, aliás, nem me lembro da última vez que fui à praia, mas estar lá com os meus colegas, fez-me voltar a gostar. Divertimo-nos tanto! (e sempre com uma bebida na mão)
